1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Voice Foundry ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

The Voice Foundry provides AI-powered text-to-speech synthesis using Google Cloud TTS (paid tier) and open-source Coqui TTS (free tier). Users can generate audio from text, manage audio history, and control playback.

3. Account Registration

• You must register with a valid email address via Google Sign-In or email/password.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Generate audio containing hate speech, harassment, threats, or illegal content.
• Impersonate real individuals without their consent.
• Create deepfake audio intended to deceive or defraud.
• Violate intellectual property rights.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API.
• Exceed plan limits through automation or scripts.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms without notice or refund.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on the selected plan.
• Payments are processed via Razorpay. All amounts are in INR (₹) unless stated otherwise.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Character limits and features are defined by your active plan at the time of use.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain ownership of the text you submit. By submitting text, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely for synthesis.

Generated audio: Audio generated using paid plans is yours to use commercially. Audio generated on the free plan is for personal, non-commercial use only.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Voice quality depends on the selected engine and plan tier.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Voice Foundry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
