When you use The Voice Foundry, we collect information necessary to provide our services:
- Account data: Email address and authentication details via Firebase Authentication.
- Usage data: Text submitted for synthesis, voice selections, audio generation history, and character usage counts.
- Payment data: Transaction IDs and payment status via Razorpay. We do not store card details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve our text-to-speech services.
- To manage your subscription and process payments.
- To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
- To send service-related communications (e.g., billing, policy updates).
- To analyse aggregate usage patterns and improve voice quality.
3. Data Storage & Retention
Your generated audio files are stored temporarily:
- Free tier: Audio files are deleted automatically after 1 hour.
- Paid tier: Audio files are retained for 7 days, then deleted.
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
4. Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following third-party services:
- Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: Text you submit for paid synthesis is processed by Google Cloud.
- Firebase (Google): Used for authentication and data storage.
- Razorpay: Used for payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication session management. No third-party advertising cookies are used. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may impact functionality.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (right to erasure).
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, Firebase Authentication, and JWT-based API access control. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
